"Bloodline" Movie Opening May 2008

A new movie "Bloodline" about the mystery surrounding the Priory of Sion and the union of Jesus and Mary Magdalene is being released this May.

Non-Violent Motion Graphics

I've never posted here before but I thought I'd share where my thoughts are lately.

I am completely frustrated. Because of a variety of software jobs in video and technical jobs in production, I have all the experience to get me going in a full fledged career creating motion graphics using cool tools like After Effects. I have never failed at moving into a new field I liked, but every time I go look at the job listings, my whole system freezes up and frankly, I just want to throw up. Corporate logos? Slick, sexy ads about violent TV shows? Ads that make you feel insecure so you reach out for their products? Blech! Gratuitous violence to evoke the ever-hungered adrenalin rush? Blech! My soul won't let me even lift a finger.

I know that good After Effects artists are hard to come by but where in the world are the filmmakers and business owners with any conscience? Don't they think that goodness, honesty and inspiration can draw people to them?

I did a search in Google for "Non-Violent Motion Graphics" thinking SOMEONE must have started something, but no, nothing came up. That's the next movement I am going to start.

Life in a Metro

Birth.

About two decades of so called education which is today more a rat-race for learning tools to earn money rather than gain any true knowledge. Entering the rat race for about 40-50 years to earn money, at times selling your soul and then the obvious and unavoidable…..death !

In this non-stop, assembly line like transition from one end of the continuum to the other, relationships like parents, siblings, spouses and children and emotions like love, friendship and hatred, and, events like success and failure happen to us.

Whether or not we understand these dearest of relationships, the people we come across and claims to love, emotions, passions and events we encounter or the raison d'être of life itself is no more a concern in the rat-race for more, whether it be for money or material goods.

That joie de vivre is today nothing more than trinkets in malls and that we spend our lives running after something we will lose in less than a century along with the most precious of our gifts, LIFE itself,…is strangely enough not a concern for the PRAGMATIC and WORLDLY.

Where from we come, where to we go and why…the most logical questions a CEO of the biggest Fortune 500 may ask are not asked about the biggest projects of all…LIFE.

The reason for the brief event called LIFE…the reason for its joys and sorrows..the reason why we can never find what we are always REALLY after…that most elusive of all treasures…HAPPINESS…these are some questions we think of all our lives and never have time or opportunity to ask or ponder about...

This blog is an honest and creative endeavour to understand life and spread smiles on the faces of all those we rub our shoulders against by bringing along like minded people. This blog wishes to raise these questions on a platform which will bring on one stage …both believers and agnostics…men of God and men of the world…and a rare few who have bridged the divide to understand how LIFE ought to be truly LIVED.

The long term goal is to develop film scripts, TV serials and media entities which will espouse such ideas in an era of inane and mundane media.
This is a humble beginning in the internet era which has shown the power of ONE.

In the forthcoming blogs I will be discussing ideas for film scripts and TV serials, which I intend to grow into a movement with the sheer power of internet's bandwagon effect. In the future I also intend to include ads on this blog in order to start monetizing for the future endeavours.

So hop in and contribute if you too think out of the box and want a change for the better.

The thing I love the most about it is that it doesn’t tout any one idea or way of looking at things. Hosting Spiritual Films

I am a member of Cafh Foundation. Last weekend we had five successful screenings of “Peaceful Warrior” at our loft at 71st Street and Broadway in Manhattan. Today, I found this tribe. I am interested in finding films worthy of being shown at our space. I need to screen the movie first. If I find the film suitable, I would then have screenings in NYC and would most likely publish a review on the internet. I publish reviews only on spiritual films which I think will be of interest to our readers on Seeds of Unfolding. I have just returned from a 48-day 19-stop tour of the U.S., with two stops in Canada, to "sneak preview" the film to over 10,000 people and I can tell you that everyone who has seen this movie is very excited about it! Now all we need is to get people to the theatre this weekend.

All of the elements of a great storytelling are there. Fine acting, photography, direction, all combine to wonderfully tell the story. And it's a story that I've gone back to in my mind for days afterwards. For me it's great to watch a film about a true hero. Not some "hero" who miraculously dodges 20,000 bullets to shoot everyone else, but someone who wrestles with the self-bullets, and comes out to help millions (8 million + books sold!).

The film industry is a slave to Box Office Numbers. That's how they determine what is hot and selling. For this reason I really hope people will get out opening weekend and see this film. You've heard it before - but here it is again - if you/we want more films that are entertaining AND have real substance, the only way to do that is get out and go.

Hi,

I have to pass on this movie. I just got the DVD two days ago and it's been unbelievable for me.

It's about a guy who stutters and can't communicate, because of his past abuse. It's SO powerful. It's a very intense journey of how he heals himself and transforms his life.

The director's intent was to give an ‘intense shamanic ritual’ (something he feels is missing in our culture and that he found himself through hypnotherapy) that simulates a near death experience ….which results in radical transformation of those who watch the movie.

I highly recommend this movie to anyone who has had abuse in their life and feels like they need an understanding to take themselves one step further to complete and total freedom.

AND, the acting is great and it's very well done with awesome camera shots.

I am human and a documentarian, HI. Presently I am in the stage of developing a documentary, where another mind will come in handy. I have loads of experience - I’ve shoot for the National Geographic, several other production including TV and feature, and I am branching out with my own feature length documentary that has taken me 5 years to conceive and research. Details, however are for those who show interest, but lets just say it’s on human potential, consciousness and examining the roots of this renaissance I see at present. There are potential avenues to approach for financing and continual development grants, I’m almost prepared to submit I would like to work with someone from here on out, to shine, contribute and polish all I've done to date. I am of the Y chromosome, so a female would be nice to balance the flow or whatever, but beggars can’t be choosers, so if where working with the same hardware, so be it. ALL STAR TREK'D OUT!

Hello Friends!

Now after recovering from a two month avalanche of writing jobs, I'm taking on new clients for script and book work.

My company is WRITERSSOURCE.NET. I do a wide variety of creative and business writing, but my best work is done analyzing/doctoring books and scripts. You can check out my bio and testimonials from happy customers at WRITERSSOURCE.NET.

In addition, the last two months have been phenomenal! I finished my modern day fairy tale "London Fog" and became a finalist at the International Moondance Film Festival with it. London Fog is getting a lot of positive attention.

I've done six freelance writing jobs, one being an ongoing project whereas I'm developing a great screenplay. (The story has already been bought by a production company.)

I just became an assistant director (and possibly a co-producer) of Star Trek Voyages episode "World Enough and Time", written by Marc Zicree and Michael Reaves, and starring George Takei - pretty dang exciting.

I am also producing/writing and directing a documentary with Marc Zicree on the making of New Voyages called "Elvis Made Me Do Star Trek". (If you look at their website you'll get the Elvis reference.) Not to shabby!

Indian student : Masters in Media Mngmt : Want to work on Spiritual Films

I am an alunus of Indian Institute of Technology , presently doing my masters in Media Management in Illinois. I have made short clips on Spiritual themes in my undergrad final semester project and did reserarch on Upanishads, Vedanta and commonalities between Western Modern Physics and Eastern Mysticism.

I would love to work on a spiritual film and I have loads of novels/concepts which I think need to be tried. One step ahead of Matrix..into the real reality. If I am not wrong, warner Bros. are also distributing a film based on 'The Alchemist' , a famous novel by Paulo Coehlo with a spiritual inclination.

Omkara is a Classical Indian and Fusion musical ensemble. Special guest, bamboo flute player Joshua Geisler was also the music director for “Take Me To The River.” Together with Omkara, he has created a semi-improvisational new score that they will perform live with the film screening.

Feeling blessed...

Well, the project is coming along and I feel blessed by all of the people who have joined the Spiritual Filmmaking tribe.

One of the reasons I feel so blessed is because the people who are members of this tribe are true seekers.

How do I know?

Because, at the moment that I'm writing this, there has been no advertisement of this tribe except as a personal email to three friends. Everyone else found it in their own way.... perhaps they were "directed" to it, and yes, that's very special.

Ideas and Themes for the Spiritual Film

A "Spiritual Film" can be a documentary, or multi-documentary.

It can be an action / adventure feature with spiritual concepts.

There are so many different things that we can focus on - so lets throw out some ideas. If you were watching what you thought was a FABULOUS 45 minute spiritual indie film, then what would it be like? What would be the plot or the theme?

Major Update!!

OK, Divine Mind has given me an awesome plot.

In realtime, I was able to visualize how everything will look.

It's going to be awesome!

Now we just need to do the rest of the research involved and write the script. Then it's on to filming.
